song sketches from november
OK. Here’s 30 sound piles, one from each day in November. Some of them are pretty awesome, some are boring/bad.
I have a few favorites:
2011.11.05 - I already posted this one to the blog. with the flaming pumpkin gif.
2011.11.08 - It’s got a sound closest to a second line brass band I’ve made so far.
2011.11.12 - It samples sounds from Skyrim.
2011.11.13 - Probably the most complete song from this month.
2011.11.22 - A pretty good integration of guitar and midi stuff.
2011.11.28 - It’s not very good, but it does sample from the Snatch soundtrack a little.
So, these daily posts aren’t supposed to be finished songs, but a repository of ideas I can come back to later to grab from and create longer, complete, songs. It’s been fun posting these because it helps me figure out where I’m repetitive, where I take shortcuts, in building songs. Over the next month I’m going to experiment a little more, try to emulate various types of music.
